Hazard: Due to a manufacturing defect, when the bike carrier is in use, a weld on the arm assembly can crack and fail. If the safety strap or locking cable is not used, the bike arm assembly can become detached from the bike carrier, which could cause a vehicle crash or injure nearby pedestrians.

Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the bike carrier and determine if your product falls within the recall population. If so, contact Thule Group for a replacement bike mast assembly.

Summit Treestands, LLC, in conjunction with the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), is voluntarily recalling its 2022 model year Viper Level Pro SD Climbing Treestands due to potential for the tree cable to dislodge from the cable assembly, posing a fall hazard to consumers.

Recalled Product: Styles SU81140 & SU81141

Additional Detail: Product was sold January 2022 through October 2022. The stand can be differentiated from other Summit climbing stands by the EasyLevel dial system which allows for the level of the treestand to be changed while at height. The warning label located on the stand’s seat will have a mark next to the product name “VIPER LEVEL PRO”.

Hazard: A cable can dislodge during use, posing a fall hazard

Remedy: Discontinue use immediately and return to the manufacturer for a full refund.

The treadmill has a running area that measures 55 inches long by 20 inches wide and has a 33-inch-wide console. The display has red LEDs that provide workout information to the user. Horizon T101-05 is printed on the treadmill’s serial number label. The name of the model and the serial number are located on the metal frame near the power switch, as shown circled above. The serial number starts with the letters “TM”. Only treadmills with the following serial numbers are included in this recall:

Hazard: The treadmills can unexpectedly accelerate, change speed, or stop without user input, posing a fall hazard.

Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled T101-05 treadmills and contact Horizon to receive a free USB with a software repair to install on the treadmills.

Goalsetter, in conjunction with the Consumer Product Safety Commission, is voluntarily recalling wall-mounted basketball goals due to serious impact injury hazard and risk of death; one fatality reported.


Recalled Product: Goalsetter Wall-Mounted Basketball Goals

Additional Detail: Involves all Goalsetter Adjustable and Fixed Wall Mount Series and GS Baseline Series 72-inch, 60-inch, 54-inch, and 48-inch wall-mounted goal systems. The basketball goals have a white Goalsetter logo (a white basketball to the left of the word “Goalsetter” printed in the lower left corner of the backboard).

Hazard: The basketball goal can detach from the wall and fall to the ground posing a serious impact injury hazard and risk of death.

Remedy: Consumers should stop using the recalled wall-mounted basketball goals immediately and contact Goalsetter for free removal of the basketball goal with a full refund or a free inspection of the installed wall-mounted basketball goal and free installation of an additional safety bracket.

Ruger has issued a safety bulletin for some SR22® Pistols. In rare instances, if the left and right frame inserts of the pistol are not properly secured together, the firing pin blocker lifter and hammer block can move independently of each other, potentially rendering them ineffective. If this situation occurs, the pistol will intermittently exhibit a "slack" single-action trigger and has the potential to discharge if decocked over a live round.

Additional Product Detail: Any SR22 with serial number 369-40078 or lower (including those with a "SS" serial number prefix) is subject to this Safety Bulletin, IF it has either: (1) exhibited (or exhibits in the future) a slack single-action trigger; or (2) discharged upon decocking.

Hazard: The pistol may discharge a live round unexpectedly.

Remedy: If either of the above conditions have occurred, stop using the pistol immediately and contact Ruger.

 

If a slack single-action trigger is experienced while shooting, take the following steps immediately:

1.    Keep the pistol pointed in a safe direction at all times.

2.    Do not attempt to remedy the matter by engaging the safety lever.

3.    Remove the magazine from the pistol.

4.    Retract the slide and lock it back.

5.    Visually and physically verify that the chamber of the pistol is empty.

6.    With the pistol pointed in a safe direction, the chamber empty, and the magazine removed, carefully close the slide and engage the safety lever to decock the pistol.

7.    Do not use the pistol until it has been examined by Ruger. Store it safely until it can be returned to the factory.
